O-O before winning back my pawn 8... g5! 9. Nc3 Qd8 10. Qe1 O-O 11. Qe4 with good attacking chances 8... Qe4+ 9. Qe2 Qxf4 10. O-O Be6 11. Nbd2 O-O 12. Rae1 Nc6 13. Ne4 Bd5? 13... Bd6! is probably winning 14. c4 Rae8 15. d5 Bf5!!14. Nfg5 Qh4 15. Qd2 15. Nf3 gets nowhere 15... Qxe4 16. Qxe4 Bxe4 17. Rxe4 should be an easy win 15... Bxg5 16. Nxg5 h6? Not necessary 16... Rae8 immediately must be better 17. Nf3 17. Ne4 is better but still losing17... Bxf3 18. Rxf3 Qxd4+ 19. Qxd4 Nxd4 20. Rc3 Rae8?! 20... c6 is simplier and safer 21. Rxe8 Rxe8 22. Rxc7 Re1+ 23. Kf2 Re2+ 24. Kg3 Rxc2 25. Rxb7 g5 26. Rxa7 After this whilst I am still losing I felt there might just be a slim chance of swopping down to a drawn R vs R&N ending 26... Rxb2 27. a4 f5?! Not obviously a bad move but allowing the king to be restricted to the back rank must be a mistake 27... Kg7 seems a simplier path to victory 28. h3 not best and I considered 28. h4 but I already had visions of the coming cheapo 28... f4+ Fritz now rates Black 10.66 pawns up with victory certain 29. Kg4 Rxg2+ 30. Kh5 Nf5?? Unnecessary as after 30... f3 31. Kg6 Ne6!! White has run out of options 31. Kg6 Fritz now has Black only 0.28 ahead. I could not believe my luck and for the first time actually started looking for a win 31... Nh4+ 32. Kf6 not 32. Kxh6?? losing 32... h5 33. Ra8+ Kh7 34. Ra7+ Kh6 35. Ra8 Ng6 36. Rg8 f3 37. Rxg6+ Kh7 38. Rg7+ Kh8 39. Kg6?? Despite careful thought this is actually a blunder 39. Rd7 g4 40. Rd8+ Kh7 41. Rd7+ Kh6 42. Rd8=39... Re2?? Immediately returned I missed 39... g4 40. h4 Re2 when 41.
