Club Officer Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICERS
(Approved at the Annual General Meeting held on 20th July 2010)
PRESIDENT
Lead the Club in achieving its Purpose
Be the prime contact for the Club
Be the Club’s prime representative at the P&DCL’s AGM
Chair the General & Committee Meetings
Maintain a list of Member’s details
VICE - PRESIDENT
Stand-in for the President when necessary
Safeguard & maintain inventory of the Club’s assets
Supervise awarding of trophies & awards at the AGM
Organise the Christmas Party
Lead with on-going contacts with other organisations
SECRETARY
Call & convene General & Committee Meetings
Record the minutes of General & Committee Meetings
Be the prime contact of the Club with the P&DCL
Ensure all Club correspondence is replied to
TREASURER
Maintain records of all monies received & expended
Make available a Balance Sheet & Revenue Account
Set-up & maintain any necessary Bank Accounts
Collect subscriptions & pay Club expenses
WEB MASTER
Provide an on-going cost effective Club website
Keep records on website activity
Maintain the information held on the Club’s website
Promote use of the Club’s website by the Members
TOURNAMENT ORGANISER
Run all the Club’s internal competitions
Advise the Web Master of on-going competition plans & results
Communicate with Members of internal competition plans
Actively encourage Members participation in the Club’s competitions
TEAM CAPTAINS
Select Members to represent the Club for scheduled matches
Submit results promptly to the Controller & the Web Master
Prior to Home matches, formally welcome the Away team
